My name is Anna and I am from Bologna (Italy); I am the founder and director of Anna’s Language Academy, a small family run business. I am an experienced and fully qualified Italian, German and English as a Foreign Language teacher with over 25 years’ teaching experience. I have a Masters in Foreign Languages (English, German and Italian) both from the University of Eichstätt (Bavaria, Germany) and the University of Bologna (Italy). I did my PGCE degree at Reading University, England.
I worked for 12 years at King Edward VI Grammar School (Chelmsford, Essex) and several local secondary schools prior to that. In the evenings, I also regularly tutored at Adult Education centres (both in Surrey, Hampshire and Essex) and I am currently a GCSE Cambridge University and Pearson German assessor and moderator.
I have tutored many students of varying abilities and of all ages and backgrounds including business professionals, holiday makers, retired teachers and students undertaking German and Italian GCSE/A Level.
I always tailor my lessons around the students' individual needs and objectives and I help my students develop their confidence and achieve their full potential. Furthermore, my aim is to make learning any of these three languages rewarding and enjoyable.
I am available to tutor daytimes and evenings including weekends. Lately, I have predominately taught online using Skype and Zoom which offers great flexibility. I am also available to teach at my place if necessary/convenient.
